What’s An NFT? And Why Are People Paying Millions To Buy Them?

The artist Grimes recently sold a bunch of NFTs for nearly $6 million. An NFT of LeBron James making a historic dunk for the Lakers garnered more than $200,000. The band Kings of Leon is releasing its new album in the form of an NFT.

NFT enthusiasts say owning a piece of code in a blockchain has shown itself to be an incredibly valuable thing.

“You’re not buying the picture,” said Jake Brukhman, founder of cryptocurrency investment company CoinFund. “You’re buying the property rights to the picture.”

CryptoPunks was the first-ever NFT collection, with a limited supply of 10,000, each with its own unique attributes. Although the collection was distributed more than three years ago, the real potential became more obvious in 2020.

In Feb 2021, abatch of digital collectibles known as CryptoPunks just sold for around $1 million in cryptocurrency in just minutes.

What’s Oaktree.finance plan on NFT?

We target to create our own collection on BSC by partnering with crypto artist to create limited edition art.

Stay tuned. Wait for our Non Fungible Tree, Treepunks!
